How To Help

Volunteer

Bring your skills to Spiral — the possibilities are endless.

Bring your skills to Spiral and you'll be able to help out in many ways — from helping in arts sessions, getting involved in music groups and mentoring members with their creative skills, to running a radio show or helping on day trips. The possibilities are endless!

By volunteering at Spiral you'll be a great benefit to our community of adults with learning disabilities, and you'll gain many skills too, such as:

  • a variety of care skills
  • radio skills
  • video editing
  • audio production
"I started volunteering at Spiral in between my second and third year of studying filmmaking at uni. It was an incredibly rewarding breath of fresh air. I had never worked with disabled people before but very quickly adapted to the fun, friendly and welcoming atmosphere of Spiral. Making films with the clients was a vastly more rewarding and wholesome experience than making student films at university."
— Josh, film student & Green Room volunteer

We're currently looking for volunteers to help with arts & crafts, media activities (including radio and filming), and holidays.
